Cherilyn - my friend is just so "over the moon" she can-not believe what you researchers have uncovered, even relatives (long since dead) that she never knew existed I did find Perth DPS website it is amazing. I found the "Clara" but the only voyage I could find was 1857, I think. I will keep searching. :-)

Perth DPS is Dead Person's Society! Just Google it. Lots about convicts and early pioneers. Burial info is at MCB WA (again find by Google) You obviously already know about the Trove site, and I assume you know of the WA BDM site. Would love to hear how your friend enjoys this info, and any certificates purchased. The difference one letter makes! :-) Gone from having no connections to lots and also very early arrivals in WA on both sides. Exciting stuff! Not sure how much info the 1859 WA marriage cert would have on it but may be worth a look.
The Battye Library (at WA State Library) would definitely be worth a visit and WAGS (WA Genealogical Society) would also be very helpful. They have meetings specifically about Pensioner Guards to WA.

Just found a bit more on Laurence - his funeral notice mentioned he was ex-12th Foot Regiment, which led me to think he was a pensioner guard on a convict ship (like my husband's grt grandfather!)
He was indeed, listed at Perth DPS: Byrne Laurence 42 private; 12th Regiment; aka [BRYAN]; 1861 Chelsea Pensioner; age variations (?) Byrne Margaret .. wife
He was one of 28 pensioner guards who arrived on Clara on April 13, 1864, having left London, England on January 11, 1864 bound for the Swan River Colony. She carried the thirtieth of 37 shipments of male convicts destined for Western Australia, with 112 passengers and 301 convicts [Erickson].
So Mary Agnes' brother must have been born overseas as he was born c1860. Don't assume Laurence/Lawrence must have been English though as my McMeekin pensioner guard was actually born in Ireland!

Possible birth of Mary in 1865 in Fremantle to Laurence & Margaret BYRNE (nee CHINCHILLA) (reg 8569). Fits with age at death and also with details below (note 'your' Margaret is listed as a grandchild, Maggie - seems she was named after her grandmother ):
The West Australian, Monday 4 May 1908 FUNERAL NOTICES. BYRNE.-The Friends of the late Mrs. Margaret Byrne, relict of the late Lawrence Byrne, of Perth, are respectfully invited to follow her remains to the place of interment the Roman Catholic portion of the East Perth Cemetery. The Funeral is appointed to leave the residence of her daughter, Mrs. M. A. Callaway, the Barracks, Perth, at 3 o'clock THIS (Monday) AFTERNOON. DONALD J. CHIPPER Funeral Director 844 Hay-st. Perth; and at Adelaide st., Fremantle. Tel. No. 137.
The funeral of another old colonist of the State in the person of the late Mrs. Margaret Byrne, relict of the late Mr. Lawrence Byrne, who pre-deceased her 11 years ago, took place yesterday (Monday) afternoon. The cortege. which moved from the residence of her daughter, Mrs. M. A. Callaway, proceeded to the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, where the first portion of the burial service was conducted over the remains of the deceased lady by the Rev. Father O'Brien, and proceeded from thence to the Roman Catholic portion of the East Perth Cemetery. The chief mourners were Mrs. M. A. Callaway (daughter), Mr. Michael Byrne (son) and Mrs. M. Byrne (daughter-in law), Mr. and Mrs. J. Smith, Miss Maggie and Miss Mary Callaway, Miss Violet Byrne, and Master Frank Byrne (grand-children). The pall-bearers were Messrs. W. Patterson, J. Keiley, M. Hoyne, and R. Fannon. Numerous wreaths and floral tributes were received from sympathising friends. The Rev. Father O'Brien officiated at the graveside, and the funeral arrangements were carried out by Mr. Donald J. Chipper, of Perth and Fremantle.
Her husband's death: BYRNE LAWRENCE 76 [father] GARRETT [mother] KALEY CECILIA [birthplace] IRELAND [reg] 1751 [year] 1897
It appears Michael Patrick BYRNE (brother of Mary Agnes) was not born in WA but married here in 1894 to Teresa Beatrice Victoria LAMBLEY (reg 430). They had 3 children: Thos Jas b. 1895, d. 1898 Violet Beatrice Mary b. 1899, m. Thos GARD 1921, d. 1964 Michael Francis b. 1902, d. ?
Michael snr died in 1911 at a mill in Jarrahdale, aged only 41. Teresa did not remarry and died 27 March 1949 at her home, 3 Vine St, North Perth, aged 78. Her death notice at Trove shows Violet was known as Tean and Michael as Frank [?]. They also give names of her grandchildren and a grandson, good leads for finding living Byrne rellies!
The West Australian, Thursday 16 February 1911 The remains of the late Mr. Michael Patrick Byrne were brought to Perth from Jarrahdale by train and interred in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Karrakatta, on Saturday afternoon in the presence of a large number of relatives and friends. The chief mourners were:-Mrs. Byrne (widow), Violet Byrne (daughter), and Francis James Byrne (son), Mrs. F. Callaway (sister), Mrs. J. Smith and Miss Callaway (nieces). The pall-bearers were:- Messrs. T. Dungan, H. Connolly, G. Hall. M. Hoyne, M. Maloney. and P. Tuhan. A large number of letters, telegrams, and other tokens of sympathy were received. The funeral arrangements were carried out by Messrs. Bowra and O'Dea. :-)

Frank married as CALLAWAY in Perth in 1885 - this certificate might be worth investing in for your friend...no guarantee how much info it will have but at least it comes from the two parties themselves (unlike a death certificate, which relies on the informant's knowledge!)

We had found the TROVE articles, and noted that the Inquest details were not yet digitised, but have requested notification when this takes place. I will suggest my friend applies for Margaret's Death Certificate.
We don't know where Frank (Francis) and Mary came from, that is the problem we face, and we have no marriage details at all. I agree that having a Marriage Certificate would help.
But thank you all. :-)

There is an article found on Trove http://trove.nla.gov.au about the marriage of Margaret and Claude's daughter.
There is also a report on the inquest of Margaret's death but it is not yet digitised (should be in 1 to 28 days)
(I know it's not finding Frank and Mary!)
I'd suggest getting Margaret and Claude's marriage certificate to at least determine Frank's occupation.

This is a hard one, as I am posting this for a friend and we don't have much to go on, as access to records here in West Australia, is almost non-existant.
We are seeking information about a Frank Calloway and his wife Mary Byrne. All we know is that their daughter Margaret born in Perth WA in 1889, and died in Bunbury West Aust in Feb 1927, married a Claude Henry Buswell (born 1896) in 1918. It is believed Margaret took her own life. We would really like to find out more about Frank Calloway and his wife Mary Byrne, and how and when they came to be in West Aust, and where did they come from. I know this is a "big ask" considering we have very little information, but thought it was worth a try. Thank you. :-)
