Ginny and team cracked my previous post august 29th 2010 to find Elizabeth's birth and parents.
Thanks to them again.
I went on to trace back several generations, residences and occupations. Elizabeth is my deceased wife's grandmother and I have been trying to find what happened to her after 1936 without success to date.
My wifes sister tells me that Elizabeth(her grandmother also) moved from 38 Byegrove road Colliers wood London;shown on her son's marriage certificate, to an adjoining street Boundary road.A Joseph Spencer(cinema projectionist) is also shown on Joseph Restall Spencers marriage certificate. He may be Elizabeth's husband?. Elizabeth was born a Spencer.
Elizabeth's son Joseph Restall Spencer moved to 48 Boundary road Colliers wood, at marriage, with wife Florence Mears;this was also the address of Florence's parents.
Ihave checked with the local library and Merton records centre who can find no record of Elizabeth at Byegrove road or Boundary;indicating that during WW2 some records were lost.
My wife's sister(born 1945) remembers her gran living opposite them in Boundary road and thinks she may have gone to a local. hospital, long term, and perhaps may have died there.
I have obtained death certificates for 3 Elizabeth Spencers all wrong;ME Surrey 1954,SE Surrey 1954,Lambeth 1960.Can anyone help please. Peter.
