George's b 1838 mother is recorded as Maria Bingham b 1817 and her parents are shown as James Bingham b 1789 Sturton Notts and Elizabeth Travis b 1791 Fenton

There are a number of children born to Maria, the first 3 of which have the surname Bingham and later children with the surname Smith

As her father, on the record, is a Bingham it looks like George and his 2 siblings were born out of wedlock

there is this marriage william bingham to clementina trezer eyre 10 7 1845 at mansfield st peter and wendy on here does nottinghamshire look ups if that will help i have found these baptisms charles 28 1 1849 mary ann 2 11 1851 william 30 4 1854 and henry 12 10 1856 all at ollerton st giles to william and clementina he his a labourer
and this one ann bingham 23 3 1862 boughton

george bingham to edward and martha 21 6 1839 boughton father a labouer

Thanks to all here. I have seen censuses and parish records etc, all on this website and familysearch.com. Re the George Smith one, not sure this is the one as the brothers ages don't tally and i think there are a George and Charles as brothers that show up elsewhere but are different age dfferences ( a lot).
I need to certify that William and Clementine are George's parents - or not, as I'm thinking now!

I am searching for Binghams from Nottinghamshire that ended up via Lincolnshire to Suffolk.

Gladys Sayer (nee Bingham, b 1899) married to George Sayer (b 1903) - my grandparents - back to: Charles Bingham (b 1869 in Harmston, Lincs) married to Alice Wright (Wickambrook, Suffolk); back to George (b 1839-ish in Boughton, Notts), married to Ann (Sudbury/Studbury?, b 1836-ish in Kneesall, Notts); I thought back to William (b 1812 in Boughton) married to Clementine (b 1821) but not too sure.

Any more light thrown upon these trees would be gratefuly received.

My paternal grandmother was a Bingham.
