Does any one have access to these records ?

I am looking for a Baptism for a William Clark B Abt 1823 Kirkdale..as in 1841.

From the 1841 census up, the family name Clark has always been without the ( E )

Trouble is there are so many William Clark/e about the same age on Family Search in Lancashire....mind boggles !! .

Would love to have his parents.

Any help would be gratefully received....

Is this william and Joanna's marriage ?
If so the certificate should tell you the father's name.

You are in luck - This is Williams 2nd marriage from Lancs OPC:

Marriage: 1 Jul 1863 St David, Haigh, Lancashire, England
William Clark - of full age Registrar and Schoolmaster Widower of Aspull

Thank you Dea,

Yes I did see he had married twice as his first wife Joanna Clark died in1861.

Now I was a bit confused as to the( Rothwell) saga as I did see Ellens mother living with them but could'nt find a Rothwell & Clark marriage !!

So you have sorted that one out ...Well Done and I thank you for that .

And the Joseph as a Witness in the marriage will guide me to Williams parents William & Mary in the 1841 census hopefully .......

Thank you so much , very Grateful to you all.

I would guess from this baptism and Mary's age on all the census that that marriage should be age 52 (easily mis-transcribed if badly written)
