I'm trying to trace Eli Furness born c1851 in Lancashire son of James and Charlotte. I have him up to the 1871 census but then lose track of him. There is a marriage in the Bury district in 1872 to Margaret Hardman but i can't find either of them in the 1881 census. I think I found a Eli Furness born in England in the 1920 US Census but I don't have a subscription to view it. Would be great if someone could help me. |

Thanks Helen. Is there any sign of a Margaret? Does Eli show up in any of the censuses? |

Thanks, I'd never heard of Charlotte but it's something to look into. Ann, yes that's the one. |
