The Edward Hopton in 1861, Rothwell, is born Leeds - which is definitely not Goole. Or is there another census entry? |

If he died in Wakefield, have you found the rest of his family living there in 1901? |

If he died in an asylum in 1897 he may have been in one in 1891, just under his initials, not his surname. |

I'm looking for him under his initials, and I found an M E H ....... which is not him (SHE is a housewife :-) ) ....... but the asylum where she was looks as though it might be the one where he did die |

Went to a talk last night about workhouses in the yorkshire area and it was said that if a person was a lunatic that they were transferred to Wakefield. Then Wakefield charged the various parishes. |
