Find Ancestors

I have been trying to find this couple on the 1881census on Familysearch but not had any luck.
Could someone with a different one help please?
Evelyn Douglas Blanchard Jerrold born 1850 in Pancras Mdx and wife Florence Lucy born 1850 in Hampstead London.
They married in 1872 in Pancras.
Evelyn died in Islington in 1885 , so they must have been around that area somewhere!

According to a tree on ancestry Florence Lucy died in France in 1881, so perhaps they were there.

I've searched the other sites and can't find them.

I am having no luck either Jany!! :-S

I can't find them on Findmypast.

Thats interesting because i can't find a death for her in England and Wales!

If Florence died in France,then that's why I have never found her death..I thought it must have been mistranscribed.

Evelyn was a journalist for a paper,so he could have been in France in 1881..
That has given me a lot to go on.Thank you all

I'd be inclined to get a copy of Eleanor's birth certificate:

Having trouble finding her in any census - was hoping she'd be with her mother (who, of course, may have remarried).

I can't see a remarriage for Evelyn.
Florence was dead,so she definitely couldn't have been Eleanor's mother!
The cert seems to be the only way to go.
I have no idea what happened to the children after both parents died.
They were not with 'my side'...Florence's sister \Kate Yapp or her parents.
Perhaps they were with Eleanor's mother?
I will have to get the cert to find her name.

I'll see if I can find any of the children .....

Evelyn may have married in France (or perhaps he just gave his name to a lovechild).

I did try to find a remarriage for Evelyn but there definitely is not one, so it seems he was not married to Eleanor's mother.
