Hi Irene

I got it from ancestry, the only site I use.


I found it by looking for his daughter Sara* Cl*ton b.1834 +/- 5 years, born Staffordshire

But as we know where he is, you can do it by entering:-
William Clayton
b. 1806 +/- 2 years
(leave birth place blank)

Hit Search

When the censuses appear, click on the 1841, and then click on Edit Search (to the left of the screen)

Enter Staffordshire in the Lived In box

Search


and he's the second down on the Record page.
