I purchased the death certificate for the May Bell who died in Leeds & miracoulasly it's not my mother at all.It appears that May might still be alive at the age of 93!
I have also discovered that both of her brothers died,Wilfred in 1940 & Harry in Preston in 1993.Again I purchased his death certificate in the hope of tracing either his wife Mildred or his son Paul,but the certificate came from the coroner & gives no details of next of kin.Any ideas?
Again,I am really sorry to be asking for help,but I'm running out of ideas & would really appreciate some guidance.

Harry J/A/S 1922 mum nee Armitage.

Wilfred 1924 mum nee Armitage may have died 1940.

Catherine J Armitage married William A Whiteside in 1917.

There was a William A Whiteside born @ 1890/1 died 1927

William Andrew Whiteside born 1890 Lancashire!!.

There was a Catherine J Whiteside married to Edward Hothersall 1928
daughter to this marriege born 1934??nee Armitage!! so she could be the same Catherine

Catherine Jane Hothersall born 1/1/1897 died 1976 in Preston.

Mary Whiteside 1855
William Andrew Whiteside 1890 a baker
He had sister May Whiteside born 1881.

May was my mother & John & June are my half brother & sister.Richard,who was my mother's husband is no relation.Hence my sketchy knowledge of him.
I only found out through your help that my mother,who I haven't seen since I was 6 months old,has died.
As you can imagine I am even more anxious to trace John & June to find out as much about my ancestry as I can.Not only for my benefit,but for my own children.
Once again any help at all would be most gratefully received.

Why did you latch on to the Fylde birth as a possibility?

This sounds like the correct Richard J Bell to me.Sounds promising.

It is more May herself that I am currently interested in.For example her death recrds,which are likely to be fairly recent ( last 10 years? ).
Also any help with finding out about her husband & children.

I have also tried going through trees & finding records that match,but have had no success as no-one is even opening the e-mails,let alone responding.

If you are 100% certain that the birth is hers, you can now begin to research her history by finding the marriage of her parents............and working back from there

So far as I can establish May Whiteside was born in the Fylde in the last quarter of 1919.Her mother's maiden name was Armitage & the volume & page numbers relating to her birth were 8E page 1025.Does this help?

Have you looked in search trees........the first place to look for possible connections

You must first establish when she was born, so that we can look for a death

Could anyone help me to trace the family records of May Bell nee Whiteside please? I believe May was born in Lancashire in 1919,but have no details of when she died.
I believe she married Richard J. Bell from Northumberland in 1942 & again I have no further information on him.
So far as I can gather there were at least 3 children John 1942,Michael 1945 & June 1946.Both John & Michael were born in Lancashire & June in Northumberland.
If you could help me with any records or information on any or all of the above I would be most grateful.
