Is it possible that William Nathan was also known as Nathaniel Nathan as distant relative tree shows

Ladybird, that's rather a rude comment for someone trying to be helpful to you. You have 85 posts to your name so surely you know by now how the boards work? Maybe not!

Is this the one you think is her Jackie. There appear to be two in Spitalfields in 1861, this one with father Nathaniel and the one posted earlier with father Aaron. I'm not sure if either of them are correct but as Leah calls her first daughter Rachel I feel the one above is more likely her as her mother is Rachel.

Jackie, i have a friend who thinks Leah married 3 times and the one that is not mentioned is Cook or Cooke and she is one of there decendents If this ties up with anything you know she would be very interested .Please let me know your comments. Thank You

My Jewish fore bearers used 'official' names linked to occupations, and everyday ones which tended to show up on census. Try not to get blinkered on only one set of names. Like most minorities, they often adopted Anglicized names to fit in.

Looking at census believe her father was Nathaniel Nathan but looks like he was also k/a william but not too sure my Great grandmother was Mary Ann Cole- :-S

1871??? A tree on ancestry has her mother as Rachel Hart. Possibly wrong if census above is correct.
