I have finally been able to log back into GR (having problems past few days?). Firstly, many thanks to you all for your help - I'll have to re-read and write it all down to follow it completely. I do love reading your conversations and watching it all unfold!!

Henry is a widower on his marriage to Annie so those children must be from his first marriage??

Ummm where are they in 1901? and who was Henry's first wife?

Looks like it says 20 yrs married 6 children all living but crossed out on the 1911

There does not seem to be a birth for Henry Lyon in that area so if he was registered he could well be the Henry Edward Lindsey I found ??

Not finding him after 1881

There's something strange here

Susan found possible death for Thomas Apr-May-Jun 1866



which means he cannot be the father of Henry Lindsey



which may be why he is under the name of Lyon on the 1871 Census

It does look like Henry on the 1881, and that means it has been mis-transcribed as Henry


Would be worth submitting Alternate Information to ancestry ........ not yet possible to do that here on GR

Tashnben has all the other records in her tree on ancestry but I cannot see any reference for Henry Lyon
