Frederick enlisted in Feb 1916. You can check out his CEF attestation papers via:

[Dundas is just W of Hamilton, in Wentworth Co]

Thank you very much Jaz that could be him & would explain why I haven’t found him in the English1911 census, I haven’t yet found him in the1911 Canadian census under any variation of KAY, I know he was in Ontario in 1913
He was wrongly transcribed as RAY when he married.
