as I am sure you know Mark, a lot of Liverpool records are not on-line. The Ormskirk or Liverpool FHS is possibly your best bet

are you sure she was actually from Ormskirk as there seem to be one or two families of Castlehouse in the St Nicholas baptisms

I do not know this Flick as i am not aware of her mothers maiden name all i know is that her parents are Robert Castlehouse and Betty

Sarah had a number of siblings...........but you probably know that already, and it's of no help with regard to your problem regarding the marriage (or lack of one)

If the mother had been RC, any children would have had to be the same.............and they aren't

She might, of course, have been non-conformist................

It's also possible that the marriage was in a different county

So it was formerly........and not formally.

It just means that it was her name before the 'marriage'

If the mother was of another religion it would be in different records would it ...for instance Catholic

It looks as though there wasn't a marriage.......unusual to post the mother's surname on a baptism if there had been
