Have got John James and Ann in 1851 census - and son John James - all at St. Luke, Stepney. This could be the one - thanks to everybody for helping.

If her mother was Susan and his mother was Ann perhaps thats why they named their second child susan Ann????????????

There is a tree on Ancestry with John James and Jane Kidd on and it says his parents are John Clark and Ann.

John and Jane lived in Chelsea for 1871 census, but can't find them in 1881 - so presumably dead.
I just can't find John James as a child in 1841 or 1851 he married 1859
I shall try Waverley Road in address search for 1851 - It might be his last address before marrying

Have you found him on 1861 or has he already died by then

I know its quitea long stot to find him - so many Clarks
I think he may be in the 1851 census at St. Luke Middx.

Don't think its 1841 at Westminster if father is mariner.
