Please can you help me find Edith Mary Hurst born 1900 barrow in furness. She married Charles Henry Parker in 1928 in wharfedale yorkshire but I cant find her before this time

she is my brother in laws grandma and he knows she was born in barrow and came down to yorkshire and thinks she was born in 1900

You could check on FreeBMD for the births of any children, that would confirm her maiden name.

There isn't a birth at all for that name (spelt either Hurst or Hirst) in the Barrow-in-Furness registration district.

all her childrens birth have her listed as hurst and her marriage

There are three male and three female Parker/Hurst births in the Wharfdale registration district in the 7 years after Edith's marriage.

People don't always know where they were born if the family moved when they were very young. My grandfather always thought that he was born in County Durham and didn't find out until he was middle aged that he was actually born in London and his parents moved back north when he was young.

I think the latter Edith was born in January.

Wigan's not really near Barrow - I'ld opt for the Wharfedale birth - at least that mid-names right.
