Good morning all
I have another query which I hope someone could please help with.
On the 1901 Census there is a family of Jenkins living in Jersey Street - it does say at the top of the Census that the CP is Everton, EP is St Polycarps and the Ward is Netherfield - the only Jersey Street I can find is near the Strand in Bootle.

Also mixed in with this Census before and after is addresses for Robsart Street, which is Everton.

Can anyone explain .
Many thanks
Carol

Hi Ginny
What I am trying to figure out is, why it says Everton on the Census yet the only reference I can find for this is off Strand Road, Bootle - Does anyone know if there are two Jersey streets - I am using a 1928 Liverpool Map Book for guidance.

To Everyone reading this post - I apologise for the two entries I must have hit the submit button twice.

Hi Dea
Thank you so much for that, it is strange it is not showing in the Map Book.

Can I ask were you found this from as I would like to see were, if possible, the Everton one is in relation to other roads.

If you Goggle Map the address you can check it out yourself

Dea will have got those details from Find My Past

If you are relying on a1928 map. you should allow for the fact that street names can change over a period of time.

To get a better idea of the location of the street in 1901, look at the Enumeration District Description on the Census records

OK thanks Flick.

Ginny - I had already googled Jersey Street but the only one that came up was the one in Bootle.

As you have posted again about this, can one assume that you didn't take Flick's advice?
