I am trying to find William Goodrick Booth he was born 1885 in Boston, Lincs to Harriet Booth. He is shown on the 1891 census as William Teft living with his mum and step father although after this he disappears. Can anyone help please

I am looking for anything as after the 1891 census i can't find him at all i have searched for him as both Booth and Teft with no result

maybe he joined the Army and was in the Boar Wars my grandfather did and doesn't show on the 1901 census

Dont forget there were 2 Boar wars one in the early 1890.s and one around 1900

I have found Edward and Harriet on the 1901 & 1911 census but no sign of William under the name of Booth or Teft.
Shirley are their any sites that would show boar war soldiers?

I am assuming that Ginny cannot find it, and when I was looking I found this possible Teft, but not the family together

No my mistake that should have read 1891 & 1911 census Edward and his family are not on 1901.

Do you think I have found the correct death?
As you cannot find any of the family in 1901 then not being able to find William in 1901 is a minor part of the problem.
Do you think I could have found Edward Teft in 1901 or is it just coincidence?

The Edward you found was born in Morton near Gainsborough he isn't the same person.
Ginny , William was illegitimate born 2 years before Harriet married Edward

There is only one Edward Teft born in the whole of Lincolnshire from 1861 to 1869
Births Dec 1864
TEFT Edward Boston 7a 365

However, I agree that he appears from Morton in other censuses, so probably different.
