Hampshire Telegraph and Sussex Chronicle etc (Portsmouth, England), Saturday, September 17, 1887;

Three Votes for One House

The conservatives objected to the vote of John Swinburne Guillaume who claimed for a freehold house in High Street Botley. The question was weather the claimant was the sole owner of the property but on him presenting himself and proving that he had been in possession of the house for three years the vote allowed . Two lodger claims were also allowed from the same house to Herbert and Edward Guillame

So how much did Herbert leave ?

That is very interesting.

I went along to a History Evening in Botley last Thursday.

It was held in Botley Village Hall, which is opposite the house my family lived in.

I found out a a few bits if information............i would have found out a lot more if i hadn't been interrupted by a very ruuuuuude woman!!

There's no probate for Herbert.
