Find Ancestors

Violet Maud Gadd still elusive after 1901 Census when she was at the School for Female Orphans in Grove Road, St.Johns Wood NW, Marylebone. No sign in the 1911 Census and unable to find a marriage or death between 1901 and 1911. Is there any way of tracing the school records?

Seem to have hit a brick wall with Violet Maud as she is not the Violet M.Gadd who married Howard R. Smales and emigrated to Australia - wrong middle name and parents. Is there any way of tracing what happened orphan children? Would there be any records held by the home?

You haven't said when the marriage was registered..................

Trying to trace my grandfather's younger sister. She was in a home for orphaned girls who had lost both parents in 1901 census. Found a marriage of a Violet M. Gadd to Howard R.Smales but not sure if this is her. Not been able to find either Violet or Howard in the 1911 census.
