Does anyone have access to motherwell birth records for c.1817 for William Francis Walker please?

For William Francis Walker, probably c.1817.

Any ideas for how I find a birth in Motherwell?

Have had communication to say that his father, William Francis w, was born in Motherwell, which could be useful, exept that there is nothing on Scotlandspeople. Grr. Any ideas anyone? Also that HMW's brother had a son with melville as middle name, so I am pretty convinved that HMW belongs with this family. His paretns are named on his wedding cert, which is difficult to argue with, isn't it? Just wish I could find his birth.

Beginning to think Hall Melville might have been illegitimate son of William Francis Walker. Any inspiration, anyone?

And we do not know where Capt William Francis Walker was born, although he was married in Madras.

He iS noted as a sea captain.

You say his father was a Captain - was that Army/Indian Army?

Yes - it is a bit mysterious but suspect that this may be the person we know as Elsie Violet, ie., my grandmother's mother, as we do not have a birth for her otherwise and the names are virtually the same. I do have the marriage cert; thank you all for the research! Much appreciated. x

He was a lawyer and a legal journalist/editor in Bombay.

Want to find the birth of Hall Melville Walker in India. Think I have found all the rest of his family (several siblings) but not him! Parents were Capt William Francis Walker and Sarah Denton. Siblings Sarah Jane, Caroline, William Francis, James Denton, Charlotte Camillia, Thomas Anderson, Arthur Wilson & Lydia Henrietta or Henerietta. All born in Madras but in various places. Have found some of their deaths too.
HMW married Violanta Maria (later Violet Mary) Hoogwerf (sometimes Hoogewerf) 1871 and they had two children as far as we know - Oscar and Elsie. He died in 1886 in India.
