Using http://www.lancashirebmd.org.uk/ Lancashire Marriage indexes for the years: 1887 Surname Forename(s) Surname Forename(s) Church / Register Office Registers At Reference TROOP Edderline REESON Arthur G Salford St Philip Salford C35/3/220
Look up at: https://www.familysearch.org/s/collection/list#page=1®ion=EUROPE
They're under England, Lancashire – Cheshire – Yorkshire Parish Registers, 1603-1992 but, in spite of the title, it's really Greater Manchester.
A search for Troop in 1887 gets the images of the banns and the m.cert

Have you seen this site?
http://skeletongen.blogspot.com/2009/07/huge-updates-boxall-graham-reeson.html
It has the following paragraph:
We've managed to piece together descendants from 4 of the children of Edderline Troop and Arthur Reeson. Thomas Leonard, Blanche, Jennie and Edderline (Us via Jules) and I think that's pretty hugely amazing! We have people in Canada - East and West, and England so far, and we're looking for more. I'm stunned by the progress, it's been absolutely phenomenal!

Margee
Thanks again!! This is very interesting. Seems Edderline came back to England just weeks before the death of her daughter Jennie which fits the story we were told that she came back to bring her to Canada due to her ill health but she died before they could bring her. Jennies deat cert says Ernest Haworth step father with an address of Sheffield, Yorkshire but that could have been a mistake - it could have been Hancock.
Maybe Ernest was already in the UK? Ive just found an entry on Ancestry (Im not a member) by a lady who says it was Hancock and that Ernest and Edderline lived in Toronto. Think they may have returned after Jennies death.
Many many thanks for all the info! Cas :-D

Wow thanks Margee, This is the one. Looks like she went to Canada before the death of first husband (on 1911 they were living seperately anyway). Her son known as TL was Thomas Leonard Reeson who was the founder of Remco Memorials and his family are still there. As for the daughter at home - she didnt have an Annie but did have Jennie who that same year 1920 married my grandfather. The address was indeed Fildes St Manchester. In 1934 Jennie died in England and the witness on the death cert was Ernest Haworth step father (living in Sheffield England) so I assumed Edderline had remarried. Jennie and my grandfather had split up and Jennie was very ill so the family were led to believe that Edderline came back to get her but she died.
Thats given my something to go on. Maybe Edderline didnt actually marry Haworth? Maybe she didnt go back to Canada? I was looking for a Canadian death as I couldnt find one in England.
many thanks for all the info its great!
Cas :-D

Her arrival in Canada?
Canadian Passenger Lists, 1865-1935 about Edderline Reeson Name: Edderline Reeson Gender: Female Age: 51 Estimated Birth Year: abt 1869 Birth Country: England Date of Arrival: 20 Apr 1920 Vessel: Metagama Search Ship Database: View the 'Metagama' in the 'Passenger Ships and Images' database Port of Arrival: St John, New Brunswick Port of Departure: Liverpool, England Roll: T-14840 Her destination is Regina, Saskatchewan. It gives name of her son Thomas Reeson but it's in the wrong column so I don't know if it mean he was in Canada or England. Another entry says she's going to join son T.L. Reeson, 1910 Cameron St., Regina. Relative at home was daughter Annie? Reeson, 1 Fildes? St., Hightown, Mc? (Sorry, very difficult to read.)
