I have recently found that Fred Fullard who is a distant ancestor was killed while serving in WW1. All i can find is that he dies in 1918! I would like very much to find out where he was killed and how this happened. i can see from his military death certificate is that he was killed in 1918 along with his army rank/number. |

There are often war diaries that you can find out how they died. There is a great war forum that you can go and and ask questions about this and they are very helpful. I also sent of for the death certificate and found out that mine was a prisoner of war and how he died. I also found out from another website of another member of the family that was killed coming back from a tunneling job and was hit bu shrapnel. Hope that helps |

There are lots of WW1 War Diaries on the documentsonline site which you can download for £3.50 each. Unfortunately, the one you want isn't on there. However, someone on the site suggested by nuttybongo might have a copy of the diary. If not, and you can wait a while, all WW1 war diaries will be online in the next year or so! |
