I think the only way I am going to find out for sure is to send for the death certificate, the only thing I will say is that most of the siblings moved down to southend just had a thought one of his bothers deaths was registered in wandsworth but when I got the certificate back he was visiting his daughter.

Lynn, does the Biggleswade death sound like a possibility?

jax Report 19 Oct 2011 20:21

Also there are no other Stanley C Wells born 1897 or anywhere near apart from the one in 1899 who died southend and another also born 1899 who died in Hastings

So I am 99% certain its the Biggleswade one now :-) well perhaps 60%

Thanks I know its not the one who was born in 1899 because I have his birth certificate and he was born on the 11 Dec 1896 so I should think that maybe g grandad did not register him until after the christmas. His wifes name was Emily.

True :-D

I suppose it comes form having family members being killed in a road accident years ago and of course the deaths was registered where they died not where they lived

edit - The son born 1929 also died in Southend in 1991

I always have these little ideas why these people died away from home.

Now this one was in the building trade(or was as a boy) maybe he was working in the area and had an accident or a heart attack

Probably wrong but it makes it more interesting :-D

Oops, didn't refresh. Yes, you've got a point there.

Not unless she moved after he died.

I used to live near Biggleswade now I live near southend

Only child I'm seeing was born 1929 Rochford.....but could he have died away from home?

I saw that too, Jax - but the Southend fits better for location.

Bit of a conundrum with two names and ages close together.

It would seem more logical that the birth registered beginning of 1897 was the one that died in Biggleswade, and the one that was born 1899 was the one died Southend.

Perhaps Lynn might come back and clarify.
