Hi,

I'm trying to find information on my Great Grandad Henry Connolly who was a soldier serving in the British Army at Crosshaven, Co Cork on 03/10/1915 (info from his marriage certificate). Henry was born in Dublin in 1889 to William and Sarah Connolly.

I don't know when he enrolled in the Army, what regiment he served in or where I could find this information. I've searched the Military records on GR to no avail.

My Mam thinks he might have served briefly in India (unconfirmed!); and we don't think he seen active duty in either WWI or WWII. Henry died in 1951 after he left the army.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards
Dave
