Hi. I have a Moses Sherred who states he was born 1819 Kimpton, Andover Hants. in 1819. I can find no details of such a birth in Kimpton but I am given to understand a birth was registered in Andover about that time. I am given to understand the spelling was Shurrud or Shurred. Can anybody give the details of this registration and as to whom the parents were.

Thanks everyone for your help. Chris gives the parents as Ezekial and Elizabeth. Lindsey states that a tree on Ancestry gives father as Charles Ezekial. Wonders where the additional name " Charles" came from.

I'm not sure why staines, but think this might br his marriage?

perhaps father will be named ?/ maybe they eloped !

They were travelling people. On his marriage cert' he gives his father as Charles, hence the query over Ezekial or Charles Ezekial.

Is it possible to check as to whether Moses had any brothers or sister born around the same time? Moses father I believe was a traveller. However it would appear he stayed in the Andover area as he died in 1839 in Grateley, Andover.
