Thanks maddie, that was quick! Details are a bit sketchy really. Brenda Whittaker was born 21.2.1924 at 49 Clinton Ave, Manchester (Withington district) Lily was classed as old when she gave birth. We know that lily died c1953 at 393 Princess Rd, Fallowfield, Manchester, as did her husband Thomas Whittaker c1957. Thomas & his father, also thomas had links with the Wholesale business - we have a photograph of a shop called Whittakers - but we don't know where it is, pos in the Manchester area as they didn't seem to move far from where they lived. Brenda (my mum in law) died this year and was unable or unwilling to give us any more information!
