In my opinion, the death for Sara is correct but Richard looks to have gone on to marry Martha Bray.
1901 census fits perfectly with my 1891 census:-
children in 1891:-

James Prest 11
William Prest 8
Thomas Prest 6
Joseph Prest 0

So Richard could have remarried after Sarah died in 1895?

Leyther

Leyther Report 27 Sep 2011 14:53

Sorry, I have seen your further answers after my last reply.

YES! I would say the PREST details are spot on : )

And maybe Sarah did die between 1891 + 1901 and Richard remarried MArtha?

This is great
thanks

Hello Maureen & Catherine
Many thanks for this - I am afraid I do not know Richards details other than the marriage I found on the Lancashire Free BMD search.

TYldesley & Leigh are all pretty much the same, and these records do look quite possible don't you think?

So is it saying Richard & Sarah died in the same qtr in 1895 just a month or so after the birth of there child Sarah in qtr 1 in 1895? :-(

I could do with finsing the death certs to see if I can find an address or maybe the informant in case it was James who was aged 1 in 1881?

THis is getting closer I think : )

Cheers
Lorraine
