It looks like he's not married on the 1841 census, seems to be with brothers George, 19 and James 10, he's 18. In 1851 he's married and oldest child is 3. Marriage 1845-1848?

Sally, to make sure you are following the right line backwards, you really get the birth cert of one of their children - this will give you Mary's maiden name to confirm any marriage records.

Could you post details of any census with Richard and Mary on?

Hello everyone, my first post!
Richard Clemmow was born in Cornwall in 1823 and went on to marry Mary. I cannot find their marriage certificate in Genesreunited; probably because it was before they were available? I'd like to know how to find the date they got married and also, what mary's maiden name was.

Richard and Mary are my great-great-great grandparents!!

Any ideas welcome.
