When I was looking, found that Ralph Middleton senior and Jane had 1 boy Ralph Middleton junior in 1889 and who died in 1890 and another son, Ralph Middleton junior mark2 in 1891 and who died in 1910, it was confusing me for a while.

silly me read Middleton as being Ralph's surname and Whitfield as being Jane Anns maiden name

I am so glad I wasn't the only one that couldn't find Jane and Ralph or their marriage....I couldn't even find Frances and Robert ........ I found a Frances Welch marrying a Robert Fairbairn in 1884
