Find Ancestors

Hello, I am searching for any records held for Montacute house, my ancestors are rumoured to have worked there at some point, I went there recently and found a Margaret Johnson who was a cook there at some point, but I am looking for Eli Johnson born around 1770 give or take ten years...and his wife Grace Pearce...they had at least one daughter Mary Ann who married my italian ancestor...found grace living with them in somerset after 1841 onwards but nothing on Eli, cant find death records, would like to know more about early Eli, anyone have any clues or ideas on how I would do this?

Hello, so sorry I didnt reply and forgot to mention where it was...ooppps..it is in Somerset. And yes, that is my Grace, she is living with my italian great times many grandfather Sebastiano Botto and her daughter Mary Ann who is his wife. I have found all the census after 1841 with her living with them...
but according to family records she was married to Eli Johnson, doesnt help that I havent been able to find Sebastiano and Mary Anns marriage yet...but I think it was in Montacute too. Will have to look up local parish records I think :)
