I've looked at 1841 and 1851 for Clara with no joy. I wonder if her father died and mother remarried and she is listed under new name? It was quite common to do this and then revert to original name on marriage.

I looked at the wedding cert hoping it would give a clue like deceased in brackets but there was no indication that he had passed away.

I don't know where we go from here.
