Find Ancestors

Hello. I am fairly new to this site yet managed to trace my grand fathers line back to 1810 and hope to go further. His Mother who is called WINIFRED MARGARET MAUND born 1920 is a mystery to us all! We cant find her birth records,i cant find her on any census at all and i am at a lost as there where she came from and where shes been living until she married my Great Grand Father in the 40s And became WINIFRED FULLARD.
They had 2 children together, Ann and Michael.

She dies young at 34 from lung cancer and this is all i know if her. Shes a very beautiful lady and although i have never met her i have always felt drawn to her and i feel i need to know more about her.

Any help would be deeply appreciated!

I really hope someone can help me dissolve the mystery of Winifred.

You don't say where she was born kelly but perhaps she was a little older than you thought. Could this be Winifred?

As I read it, Kelly has managed to trace her grandfather's line back to 1810 but his mother was born c1920.

Hello! so sorry i haven been unable to check before now!
I am pretty sure she was born in 1920 her name is winifred margaret maund then she married my great great father william fullard. I have her death and her marriage certificate but i have no idea about her birth!! I just cant seem to find it.

to add i dont know where she was born! i am assuming the walsall area as this is where she married,lived and died but i know that means little!

I know she died at 34 but today i learnt that died when my grandfather was just 12 he was born in 1944 so at 12 the year was 1956 minus her at of 34 gives 1922! but when i have seared for her i have "given or taken 4 years and still nothing comes up"????

REGARDING THE CENUS- I realize my mistake and i apologies for that! I was getting a little carried away i think! I just cant find her side of the family.

Hello Kelly, on Winifred's marriage certificate what was her father's name and occupation?

It's quite an unusual name so the birth that Lancashireann found is a possibility - don't take ages on marriage certificates and death registrations as being 100% accurate, they often aren't!

Any other info you have from the marriage certificate like witnesses, address etc could be useful.

see i am looking for a winifred margaret maund (this is on her marriage certificate, which i have a copy of) i know this is her name but there isnt a winifred m maund to match my winifred, many have different middlenames etc... I am now starting to think that MAUND is her MOTHERS maiden name and maybe not her fathers name,so she may not be maund? but on her marriage certificate it does say maund! Could she be adopted???

The only birth I can see which comes close is the Skipton one above. If it were me I would get the cert and see.
