Hi. i have just found my ancestor, Ruth Fone on the 1881 census. she is living in Princes st, Taunton,Somerset. She is described as a nurse. i know she dies in Dec qtr 1891 so i was wondering if someone could check the 1891 census to see if it mentions her still as i didn`t expect her to have that occupation. |

I think edward lived for quite some time after 1891 so maybe they are just not on the census which is a shame but thanks for looking anyway. There may have been a problem with the spelling of the name |

the trouble is i don`t know when the census was taken, before or after Ruths death. i will get her death certificate and see what that says.Would it be worth checking to see if you can find her son Seymour? if not, it`s not a problem and thanks for your help |

No i can not see Seymour either its very odd as even if Ruth has passed where are Edward and Seymour?. I would order death cert as it may also say where she was living when she died if it was at home. and Edward may of signed death cert. |

I can't see a trace of any of them. I agree, you have to get the death cert. |

Not that it helps, because I can't find a trace of him in 1891 (although he pops up nicely in 1901),but her son's name seems to have been Simeon Bishop. (I think!!!) |
