Thank you Kath...

Hearsay is that 2 Irishborn ROONEY sisters went to America "never to be heard of again"
I'm trying to search for possibles for females we cannot yet track.

I was hoping Thos. might be Tomosina ( unsure spelling) who was born in Co.Cork in 1868.

I also can't account for what happened to her sister Henrietta b. 1870.

In 1911 census, their mother says she has 9 children, all living. We only know of 8, so there is another child to find in this family yet and we wondered if the 9th one could have been one of the mystery sisters.

Dates and destination are unknown, but OH ( it's his side ) found Ellen and Thos when he searched for female ROONEYs travelling to USA.

Thank you for helping.

Please will someone with access to out-going shipping records check for 2 people surname ROONEY travelling on a ship from Liverpool?

I have been told 2 females went to America and would like to know if they were on the same ship please.
A free search suggests there was a Thos. and an Ellen.

Did the ship call into Ireland?

Thanks in advance for any help.
