You really need to get his marriage certificate of 1858 ( posted previously) to find his age and occupation and also to see if it has his father's name and occupation._

There are lots of Benjamin Brierleys born Rochdale around that time ( and we don't even know at this stage that he was born in Rochdale.) so having his father's name would help narrow it down.

If you can find him in 1851 and 61 it should give his age and birthplace.
