Tried several census pages with confusing results for Elizabeth Ball (nee Pegg?)

1841 not a lot of info - just location and names

1851 states Elizabeth's birth place is unknown and I can't read her mother's birth place but there does seem to be a 'ditto' under the Leicestershire location???

1861 states Elizabeth born in Newcastle Upon tyne.

Would her birth place be on her children's birth certs?

Many thanks in anticipation.

Andrew

If you get out your birth certificate, is your Mother's birth place on it?
If you were not born in England, do not try the experiment.
Sorry, no.

Thank you so much Andrew. Now all I have to do is figure out how they came to be in Stoke Golding. Could have moved to get work but SG is a small village. There were some other Pegg family in Stoke Golding so may be they had rellies to move to?

Thanks again

Patchem, quite right. I should have thought of that.

I am still trying to work out how things were organised in the 1800's.
