You knew about her birth but referred to her as Hornby which she wasn't and born 1867 which she wasn't ????

You opening post mentions nothing about looking for descendants.

There is this birth which looks positive as the father Thomas was a shoe/ bootmaker

I am still trying to get my head around working on this site as i have not done a lot . I knew sarah was born before parents where married but in those days fathers name was not allowed to go on birth cert unless they where wed so Richard still could be father.. Thomas Sharrock ws Sarahs Husband. How do you know ifyou have the right people on lanc bmd you cannot look at the cert. unless you pay to. Should i open a new post asking for anyone descended from the Hornbys as i say only used this once before today . dont know what im doing

Please keep all enquiries for same family on the one post. People get very upset about duplicating research.

You are quite correct - you need to purchase some certificates to be sure you have the right people

Pretty sure it's the right Sarah though, as she has both names listed

Sarah Jane Bradshaw Hornby - 23 Tailoress Spinster of 9 Arthur Street, Goose Green, Pemberton
