	I have recently decided to trace my fathers side of the tree, but as both my parents passed away at a very young age, I have very minimal info. Isaac Woods (Grandfather) Married Maria Gorse Children: William born approx 1930 Hilda born ???? married Harold Leigh and lived in Leigh Derrick (my father) born 22nd Feb 1931, registration district Bolton, deceased approx 1970. My father (Derrick) married my mother Lilian Groves 28th Mar 1959 at Ince parish church (I think) I know he resided at Oxford St Atherton at the time of marriage. I have quite a few other names that have been passed onto me, of which I have no idea if they are related or not unless I can get some more infor on Isaac and Derrick. The other names are: Thomas Woods born approx 1835 spouse Jane ? George woods born approx 1871 Bolton Elizabeth A woods born approx 1875 Atherton Isaac Woods born approx 1879 Atherton (this seems to early to be my grandfather) PS as a newbie to all this I dont even have a clue as to which census records Im supposed to view :-S

	The 1901 census has a Maria Gorse, age 1, in Atherton. Parents are William & Alice.

	Oh my goodness, Im overwhelmed at the rapid information, Thank you ever so much, Its a lot to take in and digest at once, I can say I have heard in the passed a reference to Alice Gorse, need to get my head round the searches now lol. Thank you all very very much for your input. x PS sorry it took a while to get back, is there a facility that can alert me when I have replies to my thread, I do not want to appear ignorant with slow responses.

	1911 3,Park Street Atherton William Gorse 1868 tydesley lancs. Alice 1868 born Glasgow married 23 years had 15 children 5 died. 12 people on 3 rooms Maria 1900. Can't find Isaac Wood/s 1879 in 1911 census. 1911 6,Swan St Atherton William Woods born Leigh 1863 Tabitha @ 1867 married 24 years 7 children 2 died Isaac 1902 8 people in 4 rooms. Possible deaths??
