I have his marriage in Thorrington but no bapt. 1767 is accurate as I have checked against census and burial record. I have tried Gt and Little Bentley near by but nothing there. I wondered if anyone had other suggestions really. Thanks for reading

Yep his bapt isnt in Thorrington though. I just wondered if there was a disc available with Essex baptisms on in Alphabetical order!! A long shot I know xx

Have you tried SEAX.............there is a will on there dated 1845 ? for a Zachariah Childs.

Ive tried Seax for Baptisms, I will have a look for the will if its on line, it would be good.

If the will is relevant you will be able to send for a copy. As Maddie says Essex parish records are a little lacking in research available on line.

However there is a researcher that may be able to help if all else fails.

Am unable to recall his mail address, but if you google... Peter Nutt Essex genealogy he should pop up!

EDIT..........he did some searching for me a couple of years ago and only charged me £3.00!!!!

Maddie, Suffolk is worse!! Nothing on disc even to buy!!

I found Peter Nutt, he only does from 1780!! I need 1767!! Bahhhh!!!
