I cant find a marriage or death for a Charlotte Tolhurst b 1828 in Bearsted, she was still alive in 1878 info from her mothers grave stone inscription, |

What a idiot, her parents were Isaac Tolhurst 1794 and Mary Ann Day 1800, they all lived in Bearsted, kent. Moses was her bother. |

There is a marriage in 1857 to a George Waters and this corresponds to Charlotte Waters in the 1871 census born 1829 in Thornham also the 1861 working as a servant with George Waters born in Thornham. They don't seem to have any children with them in either of those census though. |

On her mothers grave it said.... left are two sons and three daughters and her mother died in 1878 so i prosume she was alive then. I have checked all those marriages and they aren't her. |

I'm not sure how you would know who she married wiithout buying a cert to see the fathers name Isaac ? |

Last time she was using maiden name was in 1851 she was a house servant age 23, working for a Charles goodwin in Malling Wrotham, if that is her .I made the mistake of thinking she was married to a Solomon Goodwin but i was wrong, he married a Charlotte Hodge. |

They (George and Charlotte) are both working together as servants in Canterbury in 1861 -there do not seem to be any children up to 1891 |

Well i so grateful for your help, i saw the marriage of a Charlotte Tolhurst in Malling but it didn't have a grooms name so i didn't know what to do next, it does seem to match, i will follow it up thanks LesleyC, |
