Please can someone help me to find out more about this person. On the 1901 census he is shown as the brother of Mary Avery who lived in North Road Mere wiltshire. He is an naturalised American and had lived in Paola Alto, Jasper, Iowa America
Wife Mary name unknown born in Ireland.

This info was passed to me some time ago and I cannoot recall who it was. I have checked the census though as I am a descendent of Joshua Jukes family who is in the same house on the Census

Thank you for this, I now have to work out who Joshua Cowley married. Joshua is very interesting as his father gave all the girls the surname Jukes but added the seconde surname Cowley to his sons!!!! I am a direct descendent of this family.

Oh dear I have to get this on my tree quickly as we go back to the UK for 8 days on Wednesday morning.....I still have the packing to do.

Even though it is crossed out because she is a widow, Mary states on the 1911 census that she had 2 children, 1 died
