Find Ancestors

I was wondering if anyone could help me trace my Great Grandmother Daisy, as despite my efforts I am struggling to find BMD and Census 1911 for her.

Daisy was born to Sarah Ablett (Sarah was married to Joseph Fowell, however we believe she used the name Ablett on occassions - as did Daisy) in Preston circa 1884.

I can find her in the 1891 Census with her parents living in Bury St Edmunds and on the 1901 Census living in Leiston (both in Suffolk), however I can not find any other trace of her.

We believe she had 3 children with her husband (Walter W Clarke) and resided in Suffolk - as my Grandad (Alfred Joseph) was born in Stow and my Great Grandad was interred in Stowupland Cemetry in 1948. But otherwise we know very little about her - so all (more experienced) help is welcomed.

That's a great find Shirley! Plus, I can make it make some sense - Daisy's middle name was Emily, and the F could have been Fowell.

She is one of the most mysterious people in my tree I have stumbled on so far, so all leads are gratefully welcomed :-)

Shirley - again the mystery deepens, as I have Daisy's parents marrying in 1879 in Lambeth, so she was born in wedlock. What I have not yet comprehended is why Daisy was born in Preston (unless it was something to do with the railways and her Dad's job).

Unfortunately I have no living family on that side that I am aware of (bar my Mum - sorry Mum, how could I forgot you) and there is no surviving documentation or photos for that side of the family either :O

Do you suspect a bit of 'playing away' Shirley? I wouldn't put it past them ... some of the things I have found in my family shock me ... much more interesting than watching the soaps on tv!

The birth cert is one investment I may just make - thanks again for all your help - I truly don't know where I would be without the research skills you guys have ;-)

Maybe Sarah made errors when the birth was reg. gave the wrong answers!! I would certainly get the cert for the info

Could have been a bit of hanky panky going on !! maybe the cert wont name a father
