my mothers mam wasnt married her mothers maiden name was blight so when my mother was born her second name was blight... my mam was born in 1961 we think her mam was young having her so maybe her mother was born in 1940- 1946..... we think my mam had a younger sister but i cant find anyone after 1962 with a birth certificate that ses mothers maiden name blight only michael carl blight 1974....... my mams name born was christina jayne blight as she wa given away at 1yrs old she kept her name but changed her last name to her adoptive parents name... i did find a christine j blight married in 1986 thats all i can find....... thanx <3

Not necessarily, because I misunderstood, and think she is referring to another unmarried birth, and so that gives extra information which is now just pm'd on the living relatives board.

About 15 people in 1970 were born with the maiden name Blight.
Genes does not cover the whole population of the UK, just those who have put information about their families on here. Also, lots of people leave off living relatives.
You need to get your Mother's birth certificate, as was mentioned in your other thread.
And you should remove information about living people from here, if posted without their permission.

ive found this person who is the only person on here to have the same maiden name as my mother........ my mothers 2nd name born was blight and her mothers maiden name was blight so that means that was her mothers name when born doesnt it?? my mother was adopted 1961 she thinks she has a sister but theres no1 on here after 1962 with the mothers maiden name blight only one person michael carl blight <3
