Can't decipher some of your posting, but would advise you to obtain your mother's birth cert for factual info

Do you know your grandmother's first name?

Why do you think your Mother has a younger sister?
The first thing you need to do is to get your Mother's birth certificate.
Your grandmother may not have been born in Cardiff, nor may have married there, so the more information of facts that you have, the better.

whats a nudge?

JaneyCanuck

JaneyCanuck Report 9 May 2011 15:14

Nudging is intended to bring a thread to someone's attention. Nudging w/o comment or info just fills up page 1 of the board. The various posts about the same thing are momentarily visible on the first page. They then just sink again.

Threads:

http://www.genesreunited.co.uk/boards.page/board/living_relatives/thread/1267385

I'd add re one of these threads that suggesting that someone try the living relatives board *and not refer to an existing thread* amounts to suggesting duplicate posting. ;)

so what you mean is i should post a msg on the living relatives board? <3

tucker, you *have* posted a message on the living relatives board.

I don't recommend that myself, because (a) it just isn't going to produce any results, and (b) in this case and others it duplicates a post on Find Ancestors.

You should abandon all but one of these threads (stop posting in them!) and focus on one, although it doesn't seem that anyone has any more useful suggestions to make.

Since you know your grandmother's name (I don't suggest posting it here as she is likely living), you can search for her marriage and then for the births of children of that marriage (under the husband's surname with mother's name Blight), if you haven't, and that could give you useful info to follow up. Just looking for those names in the telephone directory (assuming they're not Evanses!) might produce results.

'nudging' is counter-productive, unless you add some explanation for doing so
