1901/1911 census hopefully will help me with William some where their name changed from Featherstone-Haugh to just Featherstone

Yes that is the one I found and their was one for Richard 1988 also Ashton

It was a bit confusing seeing Ches after his name in 1911 but as you've pointed out Stalybridge is Lancs

Sorted Doward is Edward step son so Sarah must have been married before

just been and had another look on 1891 and that says William was born Stalybridge (not Ireland) but it does say Ireland on 1911 !!! His age on the differant census is all over the place too. --

Thank you yet again I've been here before where they can't make their minds up Just been on Irish Roots no William but 3 Micheal Featherstone-haugh. But as this isn't for me I'm not paying to view them I'll go with what you have given me

Looks as though it could be fits in with what you've already found that would make his birth 1826 I'll check on Irish roots and see if their is a birth for round that time !!

Not sure how the Irish site works but their is a Michael Featherstone in Griffiths Valuation of Ireland for St Nicholas Co Galway

I'm not sure about the Irish site either --only the 1901 and 1911 census

Yes the marriage fits in with the dates we have for the children and the death fits in too

Tried the Irish site again but nothing without paying Griffiths Valuation is just a lot of names and where they came from.

I think I'llhave to call it a day now until I can get more on Michael's birth
