I am wondering why I can't find great grandparents listed in any census, yet I know their names are John Woodcock and Ann Woodcock (formely) Dean. They had at least one child Catherine Ellen Woodcock 15/1/1910, 13 Court 10 Cecil St, Birmingham. I have found marriage records for 1892 July-Aug-Sept, only John is listed as Johnathon. I have no middle names for either John or Ann. Does anyone have any suggestions or any reasons for why they are not on any census records, particulary 1911, when this is only one year after their daughter Catherine was born? |

Thank you everyone, the last entry, is the one the one that seems most likely. My great grandmothers name was Ann Dean and became a Woodcock, by marrying John Woodcock. Assuming that this entry of marriage in 1892 Vol 6D Pg 95 is the correct one, why can't I find any Census record for Ann and Johnathon Woodcock? |

No I don't know where either of them where born. The last address I have for them is on their daughters birth cert and it showed 13 Court 10 Cecil Street, Birmingham. regards Julie |

I think you will have to buy the marriage Certificate of Jonathan Woodcock and Ann Dean. This will then give you the Father's names of Jonathan & Ann. |
