Could some please check 1841 Census for Gt Boughton to see which Anne Jones (there are two in that area) is married to Charles Jones? |

Not one of those born 1811 and living in Cheshire appears to be married to a Charles Jones. |

Thanks everyone - I haven't yet found a marriage but it must have been around 1841, so perhaps Anne was still unmarried and registered under her maiden name Williams when the census was entered? So it is all a bit of a mystery. I believe she was born in Ruabon Denbighshire if you can trace her please. |

Are you sure she wasn't Mary Williams? |

Thanks again. All I have to go on is Charles and Anne's youngest daughter Jessie's birth certificate where the mother's name was formerly Williams. This is the only birth cert I have so far as the older siblings names were more common and difficult to confirm. I think that perhaps I need to look for a marriagea year or two before 1841 for an Anne Williams or Jones marrying Charles as the oldest child Emma would have been born around 1839/40. |

It looks as though their marriage was in Wales, as Emma was apparently born in Ruabon, which is also given on the 1851 Census as being both Ann and Charles birth place. |

Sylvia - you're a star. That's certainly them in 1851 and the other info also fits. Thanks again |
