	The 'rounding' in 1841 was applied ONLY to over-15's, and they were rounded down - to the nearest '5'...........not up. For instance, a person shown as age 25 could be any age from 25 to 29 Children, on the other hand, were recorded by their ages at the time - but allow for the fact that age was not such a big deal in those days as it is now.........so sometimes they were given incorrectly To clarify about the duplication.........everyone who tries to help looks at all of the boards, which is why it is important that you post only once per person/family. Don't take as gospel the father's details on Reuben's marriage cert........if he was illegitimate, he might have invented a father.......it happened a LOT! Hope this helps you...............

	You will get there in the end Annabelle dont worry If you are posting about the same family you should stick to one thread to save duplication. If I had known about the other one I would not have had to look for the 1841 census. jax

Member Since: January 2011 Posts: 15 Send Message	flick - i have and thank you... and no doubt i have done that wrong too :( .... hadn't realized this was a duplicate (previously it was one in surnames one in trying to find) as i am now looking for the mother not the son in the same place.... so how do i add this to the other one?.... and the rounding up thing lead to believe that is what happens... so i don't know.... you guys are really great with your help but man... it is hard not to come away from this not feeling completely stupid! please just bare with me....... early days.....

	East Dean and Rodmarton are in different parts of the County....with the River Severn in-between.

	if 1841 cencus for birth dates are correct ????? Elizabeth had Charles the same year Reuben was born so it does not seem he is her son ?

	I would think he was it the same house it is just that ancestry seems to split families up on the 1841 census. I see you spelt their name as Heart when I think it should be Hart jax

The fathers name Robert was on his wedding certificate ... so the mothers name is a guess based on rodmarton being a small village and he is in this house.... I am presuming that Robert Hulbert must of died - another thing that i have to confirm.....

AS HER FIRST HUSBAND AND THEN MARRIED AGAIN AFTER HE DIED AND BECAME ELIZABETH HEART AND MARRIED JAMES HEART AN AG. LAB THEY WERE ALL BASED IN RODMARTON. ROBERT HULBERT'S SON REUBEN HULBERT IS SHOWN LIVING WITH AN ELIZABETH HEART AND JAMES HEART.... ANY CLUES GREATLY APPRECIATED! MANY THANKS :)
