First of all, bmd's after 1837 are available on FreeBMD it is free to search, have you looked on there?

You will only get the ref and the qurter in which registered, to get the actual date you would need to buy the certificate (never pay more than £9 25 from GRO , Southport)

" Great Grandma Peake lived to be 98 years of age, she was a well known figure in Winwick and famed for her beautiful knitting. G Grandma Peake was mother of my grandfather John Peake b 1868. Sadly I never got to meet my grand parents"

Eliza Peake is also related to me, hence my interest.

She is the motherof John Peake born 1868 who married a Kempster in 1896

She gave birth to my grandfather Kempster in 1883 before she married John but it was kind of swept under the carpet by my parents and aunts. lol

how do i get in touch with the person that you have mentioned.
