If you live near Durham you will find the records office at Durham may have the original records and you can photocopy them for 50p You can get loads of info from certs There is also the National Archives in Middlesbough Good Luck

im searching for a mary smith born 1891 living hartlepool in 1841 cencus she has quite a few relatives living with her in 1841 so am trying to locate her in 1851 cencus . some of her relatives were william smith son william smith grandson a moore family and a dixon dobson and a thomas lovett
